So I am thinking about going to liquid cooling in the coming weeks. However I am having a hard time figguring out which kit or solution to go with as far as cooling it. I have...
Intel 830D stop CPU fan
Asus P5WD2 premium
OCZ gold pc 6400 DDR2
Antec P180 Case
Geforce 7800GTX
Raptor 74gig
WD 250 SATAII

Anyhow I want to be able to do 1066FSB with this setup with the addition of liquid cooling. What kind would you recomend and should I cool the chipset with something and if so, what. One last question, in the bios it doesn't give me the option to change the mulitplyer, is that just because I need to get the most current bios?

Check my FAQ on WCing your rig--it's a start. I would sat DIY as far as kits go--there are no kits i would use--I like the Corsair Cool and the Koolance Aquian--but to me there is no way a one size fits all is going to the job for me.

The best WB in the world (IMHO) is the Storm Extreme Universal sold by Swiftech--the best pump (IMHO) is the AquaXtreme 12VDC which is sold by Swiftech under a different name--it is fairly quiet once isolated and provides the proper head and gph for WCing with the Storm. The old Bonneville heater core is abig favorite--but I have found a universal oil-cooler (or auto tranny cooler) is ideal--and considerably cheaper than other types of rads. The fans you use and the radbox or ducting are essential to the effectiveness of the cooling--getting a stream of fresh air through the rad is the idea--see my FAQ on that ifyou like.

To have your FSB reach 1066 you should be running at 266.5 MHz (1066/4) since Intel cpus are quad pumped.
But running at FSB 266.5 would only make your cpu speed 3.7 GHz.

In order to reach 4.0 GHz and since your multiplier is 14 you should get to FSB 286 (4000 MHz/14).
Your cpu is good, you have one of the best overclocking Asus mobos on the market and your ram's original clock speed is 400 MHz (PC 6400) so that gives you plenty of overhead and you can easily keep the FSB:RAM divider at 1:1.

You shouldn't have to cool the chipset. Just lock the PCI-E and PCI frequencies at respectively 100MHz and 33.3MHz in your BIOS.

Also keep an eye on cpu temps (try not to go over 65C... 60C is even better) and keep your cpu voltage below 1.525 Volts (I think you can go a little bit higher on that voltage... something like 1.5 Volts if your temps are under control).

Concerning the cpu clock multiplier, it is locked on the Pentium D 820 processor. So even if you update your bios you won't be able to unlock it. The only way to get more performance is by increasing the FSB.
