Hey guys,

Quick question on a few gpu's im getting here fairly soon.

I'm buying 2 8800 ultras and 1 8800GTX. What I'm wonderin is if I will be able to do tri sli with the GTX and the ultras, or will i need a bios flash for it?

However, I remember the ultra used faster ram than the gtx, so if you are having stability issues, just downclock the ram on the cards after the flash.

As I remember it the 8800 cards are very picky about SLI and will only work with the exact same card meaning only Ultras with ultras and GTX's with GTX's. Further more I find it highly doubtful that you can successfully flash the GTX to a ultra or the ultras to GTX card. Even if you could there is no guarantees they would play nice in SLI.

Couple that with the tri SLI issues of the 8800 cards and well IMO your just much better of running thous ultras in SLI.

Thanks guys either way I was gonna bench the ultras together and the GTX alone if need be but I was thinking once I was done benching it might try it but I think i'll just leave it really it's a barely touched card and might just find another for it really
