I bought the 8800gt I am currently using, about two years ago. I think I spent $150, perhaps slightly more.

Long story short, I love this thing. I've been able to play everything at my native resolution, with max everything ever since I bought it. Only games I cannot fully max comfortably are Far Cry 2 and Crysis.

So it's been a great two years with this card, but with the next year looming on the horizon and a ton of new games, dx11,( cheaper 5850's maybe?) I suspect I may be leaving this old girl for a fresh face.

Do you love your 8800/9800gt?

8600GT isn't exactly the same thing as the 8800GT...

I know it's not the same. One time i got the chance to play Bioshock on it. It's not the best but it was definitely something to fall in love

I loved my 8800gts. I had that card for a long time until I upgraded to my 260. They're really amazing cards considering how well they can still pull their weight. I think in SLI they scale extremely well, last I looked at comparisons. It's sadly put out to pasture in my parent's Frankenstein rig I built them. I'll have to set it up to fold for me, come to think of it

I love my 9800GT ever since I saw its COD 4 performance. Felt like I was watching a movie not playing a game. I will keep it until it dies of old age

I love my EVGA 8800GT SSC. Used it for 2 years and could max out all my games with AA at 1440x900. Don't know how it's still working after all the bios flashes and bios volt mods
It's in my case now being used as a physx card. This card just won't give up
