8800GTS fan lifespan?

4102 Views 11 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  ChielScape
If I run my fan @ 100% all the time, how long would the life span be? I don't want to burn up the fan, But I also like the temps with the fan @ 100%. Is there someware that you can buy a replacement fan fot the 8800GTS? Thanks.

if it dies just get an HR-03 with a 92/120mm fan.
otherwise, see if you can find info in the delta-site. its a 60mm fan.

EDIT: its probably the BFB 60x60x15 without the shroud.
I believe evga will cover it under their lifetime warranty if your fan ever stops spinning.

Dead Fan = New Card.

Just make sure you register the card within 30 days of purchase for Lifetime warranty. Otherwise, it is only 1 yr.

there should be some way to get them to send you a new card while you could repair yours with a new fan. SLI FTW.

Warranty will cover a dead fan. However those fans last rather a long while.

Yeah they last for long... just take your average fan, which have a MTBF at 50000 hours!
