Allright, I just got a p5b deluxe and a new evga 8800gts, my problem is that the 8800gts won't display any resolutions higher than 1080x768. I'm using a HDD that was previously running on a 478 and radeon 800xt. I've tried the newest nvidia drivers and they haven't helped, I'm wondering if I should just suck it up and format the drive... you get the idea, any suggestions anybody?

Have you tried using driver cleaner and etc. I would probably just go ahead and reformat, moving a HDD from one mobo to another like that invites alot of problems. Usually its more effecient to just reformat completely.

Ya might be the best thing at this point... funny thing my friend got my old mobo, gpu, and ram, and didnt even have to insert a windows disk for it to work. F-ing figures
