perhaps your old cpu was bottlenecking your gpu so now it is able to perform at it's peak?
what did you upgrade from?

it may have increased the ambient temps in your case causing your gpu to run hotter.
80C Load is way too high. I say you buy a aftermarket cooler for your GPU or change the settings that it ramps at.
Take off the panel of your pc to reduce temps

Take off the shroud and inspect the Heatsink for dust and gunk.

My 8800GTX get 45c idle 58-60c load with a OC.

nvm.

8800GTX's do run a little hot but not hot like 100c.
They run stock loads at like 70-75c.

Maybe he has bad sensors.

I agree . There has to be an underlying problem. Dust is the most likely culprit.

100% with stock fan? I'm sure that thing is loud.

Not really, with case panel on it can hardly hear it. If anything i hear it intels stock cooler.

I'll put it to %60 and see. at %60 i get about 46-48 at the most.

You have some quiet fans in that case. My fans are loud.

I have a Medium Yate Loon but it's the 25mm version, the slim one. And it is a little loud at full speed. Honestly, all of my fans at 100% are fine except for my GPU fan. Man is this VF/GV1000 loud!

my SLIed Ultras @ 685/1750/2400 with stock coolers load to 80/85ish......something is definitely wrong......see if the cooler is dirty and/or reapply TIM
you need an after market cooler. these cards run too hot for a single slot cooler, and you can barely call it a single slot cooler.
