I just got done playing call of duty for 3 hours, I took a look at my temperature and it says 88C
. Its been 5 minutes since I've quit and I'm now down to 67C. 88C is the highest I've ever seen it. Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 don't even make it that hot.

Is 88C too hot?

my 6800gt idles at 48c guys everyone thats on this post look at this signature and it has a link follow the posts and you will fix it no doubt oh and if you didnt know blowing out dust from fans just makes it worse.. also i beg a differ that 88c is fine load... at that point the gpu slows down its core trying to keep it cool and for all you know between those say 30 seconds logging off etc it was at 90+c so i would really advise checking my signature and click on that link man

Don't put to much on, you can make it hotter. My ASUS 6800XT (OC'd to ultra specs) and I idle at 50c and go to 61c after an hour of Need For Speed: Most Wanted at maxed out settings.
