8GBs at 800 mhz or 4GBs at 1066?

is it better to have a high amount of ram and a bit lower MHZ or lower ram a bit higher MHZ?

It depends on the timings and what you do.
Gaming, rendering, etc.

In that case I'd go for the 4GB @ 1066mhz. Most of the time it is only MMOs that manage to break the 2.5GB ram usage.

Yep 4gb.
You will rarely max it out.
Unless it's 800 cas4 vs. 1066 cas5
Get the 800.
I've been playinga game called All Points Bulletin and it maxes out my RAM. ALL THE WAY. so thats why ive been sorta wondering

noo i meant when i had 4GBs lol. When i used 4gbs of ram it was like ALL of it. thats why i put the extra 4gbs in there

But it still wouldn't fill it up if you're just gaming.
Weird.
If it's mixed ram you might want to make sure that the timings are the same or else one set will dumb down to perform on par with the other set.

I just went into my bios and set them both to 5 5 5 18. For some reason bios had them running at a different timing.
