350watt psu is extemely low wattage.

If you are going to be buying a 9600, I would first make sure its even compatible seeing as you have such a little psu, I would think your PC is outdated.

It may just run, I am not sure, but I would highly suggest looking towards a new PSU!

Heres a good one, that should be compatible with your overall system, the 9600 cards require a 6 pin pci-e power adapter, which that has. If you are going to want a nicer psu, I would go far a far nicer one then I pointed out, but its a good cheap one if you don't want to spend a lot.

Which FSP model? FSP is pretty good, and your probably looking @ 200-250watts max.

look at the PSU label on the side, find the column labeled "+12v" and tell us the number of amps it says there. if its less than 17, i wouldnt even think about it. if its 18-20, u might be ok.

since its an FSP 350w, i think it will be around 15amps or less, so u will need a 400W PSU or more. cooler master, corasir, antec are all good brands.

jsut because it says 350w, doenst mean it will actually do 350w safely for long periods of itme. there is probably fine print that says u shouldnt exceep 250w and that 350w is the peak output.

FSP is a decent brand and that amperage rating, if its accurate, is sufficeint for a 9600GT, assuming u dont have a lot of Hard drives and other things, judging by ur sig rig, u should scrape by, but there is always a risk that the numbers arent accurate or u missed some fine print. a PSU failing can take the rest of ur computer with it, its much cheaper to buy a 400W PSU than it is to replace a computer.

i still recommend looking into a new PSU within a short amount of time. stressing ur PSU will make it wear faster and it doesnt put out the same voltages when it gets older.

start saving ur pennies for a new PSU.

Why don't you just get a new psu, seriously. It is arguably the most important part of your system. You shouldn't have to compromise the quality of the components of your system because your psu isn't good enough, that's just ridiculous. If you put too much strain on your low-powered power supply you run the risk of frying your entire computer. Is is a very cheap, very important upgrade.

GET A GOOD PSU. YOU WILL THANK US ALL IN THE FUTURE.

my psu failing took a quad core and a motherboard with it. Luckily they were bought from a local shop because I am inpatient and don't like to wait for shipping, so they swapped them out for me. I don't think i'll ever buy over the internet again unless they are rediculously expensive. They just took my mobo and cpu that i bought two weeks before that back and gave me new ones no questions asked because they knew there were no physical signs of damage and they would eventually get credit from the manufacturer.

anyways i am getting a lil off trac here. I dont know if where you bought your gear from, but is it worth a mobo and cpu to cheap out and try that power supply?
