Just read an article about some guy who modded his 9800 pro to use water cooling and voltmodded it also.

http://www.allhardwarezone.com/modul...howpage&pid=10

He reckons that after the voltmod his memory wouldnt go that much quicker, about 379 O/C but ive got mine running 385 with no voltmod. However he got his GPU running at 480 Mhz!!!!! mines currently doing 435 with no voltmod.

Im considering doing a voltmod but he said something about his card being bandwidth limited? this being the reason he only got a 2% performance increase when he benchmarked UT2003.

I've never heard of bandwidth limiters does anyone know what they are and if so is there any way of removing the limitation?

Could've been that the card was limited by the rest of the system. Voltmodding isn't easy and requires a good bit a skill in soldering and a steady hand, along with a bit of knowledge in electrical engineering, but the rewards can be nice too though.
