I recently purchased an xfx 9800gtx and have been having a problem with it. In almost all applications it runs perfectly, but when I play Team Fortress 2 I get tremendous frame lag. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but that doesn't seem to help. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure your power connectors are connected, happened to me a few times and I thought my card was defective.

im using the latest nvidia drivers. my power cords are connected.

i had lag in tf2/ i still do but not as bad. i go from 125fps to about 50-60 in huge battle. before i upgraded my cpu iwas getting 20-30 in fps big battle . i think tf2 is just very cpu demanding. u can try lowing the reflection setting that waht i do -15,20fps and i overclock the 9800gtx to ubseen amounts
