Is there any way to softmod 9800pro into the 9800xt?

Hmm, there is no need for a softmod in that case...
It's basically the same cards, the same PCB, designed a bit differently.
Any 9800 pro can hit 9800xt's clocks.
I also has the same amount of pipelines, which turns the softmod into unnecessary,
because it basically turns enabled locked pipelines...
For example, the 9800se has 4 locked pipes, there for it can be soft modded to 9800pro unlocking those pipes.
Good luck!.

You can overclock the 9800 pro to 9800xt's clocks and even further
using ATI tool, or RivaTuner which is less recommended for new users.
