Can somebody please recommend a great book for A+ certification? I'm wanting to do this in the very near future so any help would be great. Please only recommend the book if you have used it, and have been certified. Thank you in advance.

The CompTIA book is good, if not outdated. They wrote the exam, so they know what needs to be in the book. Honestly though, hands on experience and reading these forums will probably be a better study guide.

EDIT: if you know how to clean a CD and what files are required to boot Windows 98, your well on your way to passing. Honestly, one of the easiest certs I've taken.

N+ was not to hard.

Took about a week of refreshing as i deal with it every day at work.

the one am currently working on is S+ as all DoD employees have to have it before september.

It is a little bit tougher though.

A+ Sec+ Net+. they're all great. With those three certs and Linux+ as well they landed me a killer job right out of highschool. Security+ and A+ were by far my favorites.

The Comptia books with the lighthouse in the upper left hand corner on the cover, worked great for me. Their writers seem to be a little more comprehensive. Atleast to me.
