A couple noob T.R.U.E questions

This is my first system build, so sorry if these questions seem dumb.

1. Once it has been tightened down, is the T.R.U.E. supposed to be able to move at all? It's not like it is just flopping around in there, but if i apply a little bit of pressure and twist, i can get it to sort of shift. I was paranoid about tightening down to much as this is my first build. I got the screws nice and snug but i started to hear creaking noises and i got scared. But, as i said, it can still be moved. However, Coretemp says that my e4300 (which i OC'ed from 1.8Ghz to 2.8Ghz) is only running at 44c under load. (32c idle) That would seem to suggest that the T.R.U.E. is tightened down well enough, but it just seemed really odd to me that it could still be moved with a small amount of pressure applied.

2.Was your T.R.U.E. a royal pain in the @$$ to install? I like the true so far, but i really can't say that i will be buying another air cooler that is not very easy to install. The fan clips that came with it are a waste. You end up having to use zip ties or something. Would it have killed them to just put a couple of screw holes on each side of the T.R.U.E. so you could screw your two fans to it? Not to mention the fact that once you put the fans on, forget about messing with the screws that mount it to the board. I could have put the cooler on the board before i installed the board and made thing easier on myself, but that would still not have helped at all on getting the fans attached. I think that next time, i will be doing water cooling for the greater cooling, and ease of installation. What a pain just for good cooling...

1. I have tightened mine with the washer mod and the screws as much as they go, and mine does not move anymore.

I remember when i had it without the washer it could be moved, its pretty normal.

I wouln't worry since your temps are good.

2. YES

Especially if you install it alone and doing the washer mod.

1)No its not supposed to move
2)yes it was a pain the a$$ to install!!

my advice would be to put a washer, where the screw goes in on top on the HS block thing. i cant show u any pics as im at work
.

the fan clips work just fine, you just need to get them to sit properly, they are really a tight fit but once they are on they are not going anywhere

EDIT:
have a look Here though you may have seen it

Cool, but im not sure how helpful that would be. Even if i put the washer on, those creaking noises would still come and i am afraid of damaging my board. I could tighten them down further now without the washer, but that would mean really digging in when i tighten... maybe this is not a bad thing? I could just be getting the wrong impression?
Washer mod will add more pressure between the base of the HSF and the CPU = more contact less heat.
It'll take a lot of pressure to damage the motherboard.

ps. Currently my IDLE temps. are 21,20,17,17 but my LOAD temps. is about 46,46,42,42.((What I thought with those idle temps is that the load temps should've added about 15c at most, not 110% more.)) I believe it's because there is not enough pressure between the HSF & CPU.(correct me if i'm wrong).

I thought it was very hard to install by ones self. A few times later and its not that bad.

Go for the washer mod. I still need to do it on mine...

You may have a problem there, my idle temps with an e4300 @ 3.0 are 35-38, load is around 44-54. That's a big difference. Then again, i am going off of Coretemp, and i have not set the Tj.max offset yet. I left it at what they had, which was 95c. If i put -10 in the offset as i was told to do here, it drastically drops my temps across the board. I am scared that if i do that i may not get as accurate of readings. So i just left it at 95c.

Yeah my TJ Max is set at 95c.
I may need to add the WasherMod to my TRUE120. To achieve better contact and hopefully my LOAD temps will be a lot less!

ps: Though this may be asking a lot, since I did Overclock my Q6600 by 50% using 1.46875vcore.
But the idle and load temps are very far apart so it just doesn't seem right.

if you want you can do a rubber grommet mod as well......Just take 4 small rubber grommets and put them in between the back plate and the mobo...

I used that method, AND the washer mod....although I have a feeling I used a tiny bit too much AS5....my temps still went down on load by 15c

I might re-seat it soon, and maybe think about adding a washer....

The problem I have with the TRUE is the bracket itself....why make it rotating?...and Why force you to rotate it when you can barely fit your fingers under there? The damn thing sticks so hard, that I had to wrestle it while under the unmounted TRUE, which in hand made the TRUE slide around a lot...Which is NOT the way I like to mount Heat sinks. I like to plop it on center, and then mount it instantly to get the natural spread......but the damn mounting bracket prevents that.....I guess I'll try to add a drop of oil and move it for a bit :/
I think we can all agree that while the true excels at being a cpu cooler, it fails miserably at anything to do with it's mounting. Be it fans, or mounting it to the board. Shame, really.
I just mounted and dismounted my TRUE for the guy who bought my Q6600 today. Did it right in front of him, took maybe 5 minutes including cleaning with alcohol. Also for me the fan clips work great and are stiff, no complaints there. Just make sure you install the TRUE then the fan after, installing it with the fan on is a pain. As for the pressure, it's normal that it can be rotated. After a washer mod mine didn't, but it is still normal. For the clicking sounds when tightening, that's also normal. It's the spring friction. Keep screwing them in until they stop making noise. I've mounted the same TRUE maybe a dozen times so I got used to the process lol.
