Alright guys I have a E8600 that is screaming to be Oced. I tried overclocking it on a DFI DK P35, but I feel so limited in the bios. My DFI LT X38 has many more options to tweak but lacks in overclocking 45nm cpus.
UD3P/UD3R for e8x00's... make sure you get some decent ram though. it all depends on max FSB, and if your 800mhz RAM is limiting you to 400fsb, then that's abottleneck because almost every modern mobo can get 400fsb..

Wow guys this mobo is nicely priced too. I might as well pick it up from the egg. I have Killa's E8600, I can boot up with ease @ 4.5ghz but stabalizing it is the problem. This will be my first Gigabyte board, I owned nothing but DFI's.
EDIT; I will have Team Xtreem 1066 Ram with this board. Memory wont be a issue
Being that you've been a DFI owner for so long, I don't see a problem with you and another manufacturer's boards. Really, I think you'll have really good luck with you LT x38 if you stick with it, otherwise most of the higher-end P35+ ASUS and DFI and the EP45-UD3R will do you justice.

Trust me the DFI X38 does great with 65nm's. Now with 45nm chips its sad. (Just noticed you have a X38 with a good OC on 45nm. What bios are you using?)
I bought a good Q9650 from a member here on OCN, and the X38 would not boot it above 3.9Ghz at all. I ended up selling tha Quad and last I heard killa had it @ 4.4Ghz or more.
Thanks for the help everyone, I should receive the UD3R Thursday
