Ok here's the problem, I have a Samsung 2233SN aka 2233SW without the DVI port. I have a 9500GT XFX, with 1xVGA, 1xDVI and 1xS-video. I want to know if there is a way to connect the nintendo wii to either of them and play. So, is that possible or not? (everything you need to know about my rig is in my sig)

No, I want to play the Wii on my monitor, (using the monitor like a TV) but at the same time I want the audio too, you know what I mean?

Well the only half-decent way before woulda been to use a "scaler" box, but they're way pricey and they were never really great, luckily, they do the proper cable now:

Called a Wii vdigi:- http://www.wiinintendo.net/2007/10/3...-cable-review/

Here's the site link for purchasing, to get an idea of serial no. to see for your nearest stockist:- http://www.vdigi.com/index.php?page=...chk=1&Itemid=1

Assuming that's what you need?

Ah! this cable, does it let me use to monitor for both computer and wii use? I mean, I don't want to keep disconnecting cables.

EDIT: Also, my monitor doesn't have speakers.

Looks like it's got the usual audio RCA outputs for left+right speaker:- http://www.vdigi.com/index.php?optio..._id=3&Itemid=1

As far as audio goes, you should be able to get an RCA female> Headphone Jack/whatever input your speakers connect to?
It should run that way (Headphone Jack converter lead) into your Line-in on your Mobo/Sound card, so your audio runs through your PC system, if you meant like that?

They show a diagram similar where the audio would run to:-http://www.vdigi.com/index.php?page=...chk=1&Itemid=1

For my consoles, I usually run the audio through my Hi-Fi, my PC sound output runs through there too. Kills two birds with one stone, never have to leave that area 8)
