I just bought two 260gtx cards. i tried installing one but it wouldn't go in (too much stuff in the way. So i moved what was in the way like my water pump and a few cables and now i cant turn on the system. I have power to the mobo because the power button and reset button on the mobo are lit up as well as the light on my soundcard and the lcd poster but thats it. Nothing happens when i push the power button. I checked to see if any of the cables were lose like the wire for the power button but they all look good. Any suggestions i need to get this thing up and folding again!
Thanx

Since you have a Rampage Formula, use these:

See the reset and power button? Try those, if it STILL doesn't work, something is either shorting, or your power cable to the button has a problem. Or maybe you're placed the plugs into the wrong slots?

You have an E-Z Connector, check you've done it right.

Hmm, everytime something like that happens to me, it's because the Mobo went out. Either I shorted it out, or something. If you have power, and the rig doesn't boot, and it was working fine before, it might be the Mobo.
the power button on the mobo is lit but it dosn't do anything i just checked the ez connector and its right. I didnt even unplug anything in the first place except for the old vid card and the pcie connector. i have a bad feeling i fried the mobo. if so im screwed cauze i dont have enough cash for another one now that i just got the vid cards lol.

its always been the mobo for me as well. Not to give your hopes up or anything. But you know try to do the usual, like reset the CMOS and check cables and what not. And if you know for fact that all cables are in and you've done every thing. You might have to do a RMA

I have screwed up the Mobo twice now, simply replacing the H/S. I don't know how or what I did, but I have screwed up 2 boards this way.

the board is too old to rma. I'll mess with it tomorow and if it still wont turn on i guess ill have to get another mobo

yea it dosn't take much a small static discharge and it's all over. is there any way to test and see if its a bad power wire? maybe a pin is messed up on it or somthing
