Not that im wanting to do it ATM but i was looking and i can't find just what i want. my question is.

How much preformance increase would a second GFX card for Physx give?
and
How much preformance increase would a 9800gtx give over a 8800gt(In physx mode)

I'd get a 9800 gt rather than a gtx simply because its single slot and there isnt much of an increase if any.
Yea a 9800gt or 8800gt would probably be a better choice cause a gtx is insane overkill for physx. I mean a 8600gts would be fine.
given your system with the 285, you probably wont need a physx card.
Look around the threads, some ppl have experienced actual bottlenecks with gtx260 and physx cards. So if you DO decide to get a physx, go with 8800 or higher, but def not an x600 series card
thanks for this but what id like to know is what would happen would there be a big fps jump or what?

Bottlenecks? Since when? If you mean bringing vantage scores down that is because when the physx card is inserted, of course a gtx 260 will perform better at physx than a 8600gts but that is when there is no actual game rendering going on. But, say if you are playing a game like cryostasis that pushes your video card to the max, and theres still physx operations to be done, this is where the physx card helps. The primary GPU does all the rendering while the phys ppu performs the physx calculations giving you a boost in fps. In other games that don't use physx, the ppu make no difference at all, it does Not slow then down nor does it speed them up. Its just there.

Edit: for the above post, in mirrors edge or something there will be a couple fps boost and in something like cryostasis that pours out physx then there should be a 3-5 fps boost. There wont be an insane 10+ fps boost in any games that are out now.
