Anytime I'm in the BIOS with a USB keyboard, the system is slow to respond to any commands. If I use a ps2 keyboard, it's normal and responsive.
Anybody have any idea what this problem is?
Additionally, I get reduced performance after playing Half-Life, or CS:S for a while. The longer I play, the worse it gets. I've verified that the problem is not in the video card by putting it in another system. Even with 2 120mm fans blowing directly on the motherboard, I have the same problem. I read the article about re-seating the NB/SB cooler, and did that this weekend. It's now all water-cooled, and yet it still slows down. Is my motherboard hopeless?

I think I may have found the problem.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=81429

Describes my problem exactly. I've taken the steps described, and hope to have confirmation of the fix by the end of the day.

Make sure you turn on USB Legacy support.

The gaming slowdown is fixed, I'll check the legacy support, but it'd have to be disabled by default for it to be a problem since I know I've never changed it.

So, USB legacy support was set to auto, so I just default enabled it and it made no change in my slow BIOS response time.
Any other ideas?
