Yes, thank you.Originally Posted by complexlogic;15277190
Fully agreed with the previous posters. If your primary use is gaming and not color critical work, then the Dell U2711 is not the best choice. You need to be aware that gaming at these resolutions requires substantial RAM on the graphics cards. There are reports that the 1.5GB default RAM on the Nvidia cards is insufficient in some cases, although I have yet to see a detailed analysis of memory usage of various games at 2560 resolution. I use a factory overclocked POV GTX 570 with 2.5 GB of RAM, so I can't comment on the 1.5GB issue from personal experience.
I think 1080p might be the best choice for you!Originally Posted by andom;15266050
Before I do it, I need some reassurance.
Is it really the best monitor I can get at that resolution and at that price range? The reason I'm buying this monitor is simply for gaming.
Do I have any other options?
Yeah, I can't afford a 3 GB GTX 580 right now :S. I'll just wait till next gen.Originally Posted by Hydros;15279747

Check out Samsung S27A950D or S27A750D.
Btw! Is it you on your avatar? You look great. A little bit like Ashlynn Brooke.
I'm not sure it's such a great idea to compliment girls on looking like pornstars anyways.Originally Posted by andom;15279998

I'm actually using a ASUS VE247H right now. Would it even be worth it to upgrade to anything? Say, a 1080p IPS monitor?
And no, that's not me in the photo. LOL. I wish, though. Wait, no, I don't wish that.
