If you have been following the wireless phone scene recently, you will remember that it all started with this Motorola Droid commercial with Verizon taking a shot at Apple’s iPhone.

That honestly didn't seem like a shot at VZW even though it was in a way...yes that sound weird. Seemed like a shot at everyone like "bring it on try and knock us off the mountaintop"
Seems a little far fetched to call it Anti-Verizon. They just say "Can your phone or your network do that". IDC now that I think about it. First apple ad ive seen in months, now time to wash my eyes.

Now finally Apple has come out with it's own ad highlighting the limitation of Verizon's CDMA network. Unlike AT&Ts GSM network, where data and voice can be used at the same time, on Verizon's CDMA network you can only use either data or voice at any given time.

Sure, if by some stroke of luck you happen to live in an area where both services get good reception.

I can already see the Verizon counter-ad... Say you're on a call with a client, and he asks "did you see my ema" as the call drops.

Oh, not again... I was hoping they'd wise up and let it go but they won't. At least the ad's not full of lies this time.

Because AT&T needs their E-peen(last time i'm ever going to use this geek speak word) to grow

Thats funny, because my brother was browsing the web on his droid while talking to me on the phone and were both verizon...
iHate Apple.

If you take one shot at them, then they come out and pull an ad out of their ass.

Not only that, but I have no idea how or why they started the Mac vs PC ad.

I will be picking up a Verizon Android phone in May, and could care less about these kind of stupid commercials. i don't think i'll go into a nervous breakdown if i can't google AND talk on the phone.

Not true, they cut out the parts where he had to type in the URL, navigate to the page that doesn't look as simplified as it did in the video, register an account, get to the product, add to card, and then go through the entire checkout process.

True, you have to zoom so many times just to go through the whole process.
Which is really irritating.

That's nice, now they just need to make it so their voice and data service actually works.

Using voice and data at the same time isn't worth a crap if you can't get decent reception for either.
What a great pissing match between Apple and Verizon.

(I support Verizon)
Apple think they can sit on there high horse and directly critise Microsoft, but when someone does it to them its an instant offense...how dare we offend the all mighty apple gods....

RANT:
Typical apple....reminds me of one of the old apple commercials many years ago, they were trying to sell apples to parents...they showed some kid playing a game or typing something on an apple and exclaimed something like "look how easy" then they showed a pc with a big error message on the screen. If you were smart enough to tape the darn commercial and read the error message it was the standard "please insert a disc into drive d:" sorta thing. The idiot didn't put a disc in the drive! how the heck was it supposed to work without the disk......
