I just bought the 7800GS. Does anyone know what the safe temp range is?

I'd say anywhere below 75-80C is safe. 80C+ might experience a bit of a slowdown.

Yea the GT has 4 more pipelines than the GS thats basicly it, i think they could have added 4 more pipelines....but nooo Nvidia is lame

i got my card yesterday, 7800GS sc 460/1300 . installed the newest nvidia drivers.
basicly looking at the temps, it shows the threshhold at 115 degrees. but when i use 3dmark 2005 it went way over 130-140. and my 3dmark score was 1300

not sure what to make of this.
looks like i'm gonna cool a roast instead of playing video games.

That's not good I'm running the card at 475/1400 and my temps never go over 56/57. Farenheit maybe?

Celsius. If it's fahrenheit then your ambient has to be like freezing...
