hey guys, need a quick fix to a problem im having with a computing assessment.
iv got to have a look at a simple database and correct any errors that i find.

iv found a record that is an pointless entry and wish to delete it.
but when i select it and try to delete it, it wont let me.
it has a * at the start of the record, what does that mean?!

any help would be great!

Don't worry about it. It isn't a record. That line won't be a record until you enter values in these columns.

ok, but how do i delete the £0.00 in the price column?

Again, that's the place holder for the new record if you enter something. The £0.00 is the default value for that column.

Like Linskindom said.... It's not a record. It's just a new line with default values filled in.

If you do "select count(*) from Widgets", you should get 6.
