There may sill be a future for some peoples high-end agp systems, According to Raymen Wu Powercolor's PR dude.

Eran: How long are you planning to continue support for AGP architecture?

Raymen: AGP will be around for quite some time yet. In fact, PowerColor will be introducing AGP versions of X1650 and X1950 PRO very soon. There are still a lot of people that have systems that work perfectly fine and simply require a slight upgrade for their graphics.

Well, the x1900GT is just as good as a 7900GT....and the x1950pro is replacing the x1900GT. Near x1900xt performance on an AGP system.

I've got an x800xt, Im debating as to whether or not this would be worth spending the money on, I mean the ram seems virtually the same, granted I would get sm 3.0, more pipe lines, and higher clock speeds but still, at the near $300 it's sure to be I'm just not sure about it, anyone have some recomendations?

I think the x1950 is great for anyone that has a decent CPU and is stuck with AGP.

I'm going to get one after christmas (christmas + grandparents = $$$ lol), should hold my computer up untill dx10 cards get resonable, and quad core too.
