Acer Aspire 4720z issue

I have a laptop whose back light seems to be flickering. I'm pretty sure I did something to some component while repairing the charging port a few months back. I've tried reading up on how to repair this kind of thing but noticed that there were quite a few different designs out there for the inverters and such and was just wondering if anyone on this great site had some ideas or experience in this kind of thing.
