acer aspire one advice and questions

hey i just bought the acer asipre one netbook from target for 200.

now my question for you guys are

1. would you recommend on upgrading to 7?

2. what would be the best 2gb ram stick to put in this bad boy.

this is my first time owning or really using a laptop/netbook.

any advice?

Check Acer's website. You might get a free upgrade to win 7.

i looked the only thing i saw was if you bought a cpu with vista on it qualified for 7 upgrade, this guy has xp

XP gives longer battery life, you might want to stick with it for now.

I like Win7 just fine but XP *is* faster and has better battery life which are pretty important for mobile computing with slow processors.

I say keep it, unless you can get the upgrade for free.

I'm fairly certain they are saying win7 is the choice for battery preservation on a laptop (not done any direct comparisons personally)
