Hi, I am currently running my E2160 at 3.0Ghz, with my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7, and it idles at 33/36C.

I have an ASUS P5M2-8SB4W sitting here that I have not used before, and I was wondering if anybody has any ideas as to if that cooler would be better?

It has almost double the speed, and I have heard from a few people that it's worked better than an arctic freezer because it has way better support for being fastened with the backplate.

Does anybody know if it would be better for me? And if so, by how much?

I would like my system to be as cool as possible.

ACF7 walks all over that Asus. The Asus has no heatpipes and an 80mm fan.

So even if the fan is actually faster, and can be seated better, the ACF7 is still going to be cooler?

Haha. I love the AC7, but for some reason someone told me they had the same ASUS and it worked better for them than their AC7, and I took that into account.

I guess I'll stick with the AC7!
