Achievement trouble in Assassin's Creed 2

OK so I am trying to get the Kleptomaniac achievement (pick pocket 1000 florins) in the game. I cant seem to get it and I dont know why. I have pickpocketed for almost 15 minutes now and even watched the counter go up over 1000 and still no achievement. Any ideas suggestions or has anyone had this same problem? + REP if you help out.....

um... check and see if you got a trophy?? lol, ps3 doesn't have achievements, which is why you haven't gotten one

--for real though, sorry, can't help ya, just had to give you a hard time.

where is this 'counter' for stealing florins? did you start off at 0 money or something?

if you started at 0 then you should get the achievement
if you didnt start at 0 thank keep pick pocketing

I was looking at the counter on the bottom left. There isnt one for the achievement but I was watching the counter for the pouch.

I figured it out...my game had a glitch. But I got it now I just started a new game.
