Hey guys. I got a case and I want to mod a fan in the side panel. I know how to do it but are there any tips or tricks you can tell me. Also and can you tell me any thing like what size screw or what type of hole saw should I use. By the way my case is Raidmax Skyline. Thanks for help in advance guys!

The screw holes in the fan housings are normally 3mm dia. Normal fan screws actually cut their own threads into the fan, so if you plan on using them, you'll have to drill a 5-6 mm clearance hole.

Fan sizes (80mm, 120mm, etc) are listed based on the outer sizes of the casing, the actual size of the blowhole should be 5mm smaller than that; commonly used English hole saw sizes are 3" for 80mm fans and 4.5" for 120mm fans. Another option is to use a Dremel with a circle cutting attachment and a spiral (sideways) bit; I've done this in the past and it works pretty well.
