This is the window I want to cover.
I cracked my only peice of acrylic today, :swearing: so I wanted opinions whether I should still go acrylic or do something else like mesh... opinions welcome (anything else I should do to the window).
First picture is closed, second is open. (It is on hinges and will swing open, as well as the other 1/3.
FYI: It's still waiting for the U-Channel and paint
Magnets were just used to hold it in place during the first picture.
It looks like I might be doing mesh... but does anyone have any ideas about mesh and acrylic?
Edit: If I were to do mesh I wouldn't be able to order online, I'd have to look around at Aces Hardware or Homedepot for some mesh, or something that has mesh that I can cut out of it.
Ace's Hardware has everything I could possibly want for my case, but I don't think they sell acrylic.
What thickness was the original acrylic panel that broke? I'm guessing that it was probably 1/8" or less, which is rather thin and quite fragile when it is unsupported, though when mounted to a side panel for as a window (and nit supporting any load except maybe a few fans) it's thick enough. if you need something more durable for handling and/or more rigid when installed then I suggest at least 3/16" acrylic or preferably 1/4".

It was probably something like 1/8... went to HomeDepot and bought like a 6 ft by 4ft sheet for a different project that never got done. I believe the problem was that I drilled the holes for drilling it to the case too close to the edge. The peice didn't crack, rather chunks fell off the sides, and small cracks made their way into the middle.
