So I have a Asus P6T with 6gb (3x2gb) triple channel ram... and I just breathed new life into the system with an Xeon 5650.

I'm thinking of ebaying a second 6gb of ram but have a few questions:

1. Should I just scrap the ram and get 8gb new with higher speed? 1866 etc

2. Should I grab another 6gb, if so do I need to be careful to ensure clock speed is the same (1600) or should I get faster/slower?

It looks like I can ebay pretty much the exact same ram for about £15, another 6gb (3x2gb) kit.

Ram in question:

different graphics but looks like similar ram to me:

Just make sure that not only the speed, but also the timings and voltage are the same as your old kit. If they are, you're good to go
