Hi,
in my haste to upgrade to 6gb RAM for BF3 I completely forgot that I should get the same brand and model. So I got the first thing that looked good

the problem is that they don't play nice with my current 4 Gb's

The specs (or so I though were the same)

I tried different voltages Auto, 2.0 2.05, 2.1

I reset everything in bios to stock and still it failed within seconds on prime test..

Btw my overclock of 400x8 had the 2.66 multiplier with the RAM, amounting to 1066Mhz - so that is not an issue.

So, any hope for me?

You could send them back and get the right kit, most places will allow you to do that. Also, Your overclock could be unstable because the amount of ram that you have. You'll probably find you need more voltage on your northbridge or something to get the same stability

cleaned the slots and swapped the RAM, stable for slightly longer but still crashes. What is gigabyte's equivalent of the NB voltage? I took out the Ballistix....
