After reading about 1 billion pages here on overclock.net, its safe to say, that most of you water cooling gurus use Distilled water. However, I am still not clear on what to add. I know i need some sort of Bio-side, but do i need to add a corrosion inhibitor? Is it ok to mix those 2 liquids? Or is there something that does both, something that's tried and tested.

Thanks for the help guys. BTW, i read many of those water cooling for dummies threads, helped me 100x. Would have been lost without them.

You dont need corrosion blockers until you are mixing metals in your loop.
As for algae killer use a PT-Nuke -PHN or silver coil.

Just for clarification. "True Silver" ones, not shining silver etc. for BP fittings.

The silver coils does take time to work, so putting in some PTnuke doesn't hurt.

Some folks are using Primochill LRTs tubes + Kill coils with great success because the LRTs have built in biocide.

kill koil and some pt nuke to be safe and for the anti corrosion about 1-2 oz's of antifreeze or feser makes something called:
feser base corrosion blocker
its ethylene glycol basically clear antifreeze
keep the antifreeze to about 10% total liquid and you dont have to worry

Distilled water + -PHN Nuke and/or a piece of pure silver.

Keep your blocks nickel/copper. Keep aluminum out of your loop.

NO dyes, additives, hocus pocus, or antifreeze. Simple.

Don't mix any sort of acrylic or alcohols.

Exactly that, though keep ALL the blocks nickel if you can help it to combat oxidation; most major block manufactures have been offering nickel-plated versions of their products these days so it's quite easy to get one.
