advanced painting guide?

407 Views 6 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Dallus
Welp, after painting a few cases and noticing how the paint still tends to chip after curing for 30 days fairly easily, I was looking into getting something a bit more advanced. I assume they should be painted like automotives. Does anyone know of a good beginners / advanced guide for something like this that would give the breakdown of entry/mid level tools required? Or perhaps what you use to paint?

Normally pappa google is good enough for such a question; but I'm really not having much luck!

I have read that - thanks

My experience is spray painting can only do so much, it's always going to be frail and scratch easily.

Is it better to have matte or glossy clear coat? Or is it just up to personal taste?

Learn how to shoot automotive paints. Not the lacquer but the enamels. THAT will give you an amazing finish!
