Advice on this rig?

Ripjaws don't seem to go well with AMD.

I suggest these ones instead

Ok, thanks. So far it looks like that's in my budget.

Would the same cooler I used on an Intel CPU work for the AMD?

No you would have to use a different cooler from Intel to AMD. Though some aftermarket coolers come with adapters to accomodate both.

Ugh... I guess I'll have to settle with the stock cooler then...
