i got into some bad adware/Trojans recently. I used adaware a few times to get rid of them and most of them are gone. however i am getting pop ups now and then (inappropriate ones too) which minimize whatever game im playing and its very annoying. any suggestions as to what i can do to stop these things?

Are you booting into safe mode to run the scans? If not, try that and also maybe they corrupted your anti virus so I've heard happen. Safe mode, re-install anti-virus and run scans.

It's also possible they ahve become resident in the Restore files! In some very rare instances they can become BIOS residant so disable BIOS write when not making changes durring OCing!

In Sybot's "Advanced Options" you can also go into the selective startup section and disable things from starting with windows. If you see weird random numbers and letters and stuff, that's probably adware or other junk.

Example: s038c940c9

Uncheck it to stop it from starting up upon boot.
