I'm going to be donating my brother my old PC (in system specs now) at Christmas so he can play SimCity 4 and other games (he uses an old Compaq Armada M700 laptop right now). I was wondering, what's a cheapish AGP card for about £70?

I looked at a 7600GS or an X1300.. any other ideas?

9600Pro would probably be the cheapest.

That's almost £100. I'd probably go with a 7600GS anyway.

It'd be a nice upgrade for him though, because he wants to do 3d model rendering and such too.

The 9*** series is really starting to show its age....

A 6600GT, x1600pro, or a 7600GS would worth the money.

Eh, Sim City 4 isn't that demanding.

<sarcasm>

Oh yeah, it scores 20 fps on a 880GTX

lol well i've heard about problems with it and the X19** series, so he wouldn't be able to play it on my new comp. Plus the fact that I'd be on it all the time. So I want to recommend him something that will play current games nicely, and be able to render 3d graphics using Rhinoceros 3D and such, quickly...
