Does anyone here own an IC7-Max3 mobo? The AGP/PCI frequency has to be set to fixed to achieve a stable O/C right? you can change the fixed value from 66 up to about 90 i think. Could anyone explain what effect increasing this value will have on the system? I would tinker with it but i havent the feintest what it does and i dont wanna fry my board!

No, dont raise it to 90! Lock it at 33/66, which should be the default. It needs to stay at 33/66mhz at all times. Those are the speeds at which the bus operates. It is pretty critical to leave this set. Will you fry anything? Probably not. But you system will not run properly with the settings altered.

Edit: {the agp/pci bus could also be looked at as 66/33mhz - whatever floats your boat}

If the PCI ratio is increased to more than 36-37MHz, there is a VERY good chance you can render your IDE HD useless, as it will completely corrupt it.

There are no performance gains for increasing EITHER PCI or AGP interface values.
