Air cooling a i7 chip, Few questions

Hello,

Well I thought that i was going to get to WC my i7 but with everything happening with econ etc I am forced to Air it. So my Questions are: 1) IS TRUE still the best to get and if so do i need a special adapter to get it to attach to the i7 MB? or would it be just as good to put on a ZALMAN CNPS9900LED with the adapter? I am going to be using the case in my Sig below to stuff all my stuff into so keep that in mind. But this case is huge.
Thank you for your time and info.

The TRUE completely demolishes the 9900. With that there's a 1366 version of the TRUE (comes with the bracket) or you can buy the bracket separately.
Get a TRUE with the bolt thought kit, lap it, and put a 38mm fan. Or a noctua if you want something that is more quiet. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/84...?tl=g40c14s757
could you link a True from Newegg for me. I cant find them. I must be over looking them.
oh ok then i just didnt over look it so I dont feel so bad now. Thank you
Should I use one fane, or one fan pull one fan push on it? Which will give best cooling?
And with it being black coated will that effect the cooling or should i get just the ulta-120 extreme?
Or does it not really matter?
Depends on how high you want to go.

4ghz may require a push-pull (and disabling hyperthreading). The i7's run silly hot
I think you're talking about the nickel plating? im sure it doesn't matter.

Also regarding that 1366 adapter..I can buy a 775 TRUE for a quad and then use that kit for i7 later? Im thinking yes but just want to make sure.

yep, you would just need the 1366 mounting bracket

Except if you go with the Asus P6T (not the deluxe or palm version).

The Asus P6T has two sets of mounting holes, LGA1366 and LGA775 so either cooler style can be used.

As far as I am aware, its the only i7 board that has this feature.
