Hello, I'm kinda new to the Overclock.net
can i post my problems here?

if so -

Back in august i built a new system (First Time)
i did not have much time to use, and everything seemed fine
I only had to change video card bios, because the fan was running at full 100%.
This weekend i had time to play some games, and be on internet.
After about about 4-6 hours, the computer would just randomly restart. I googled, and found that it could be BSoD, i disabled automatic restart.
Now the computer would just freeze or i would get a BSoD (After 4-6 hours).
Also when the computer freezes, everything keeps on working, Case fans, graphics fan, cpu fan, hard drives, usb ports, and etc.

Memtest found no errors is memory (Corsair XMS2 Twin2x 2048 6400c4)

All of my drivers are up to date, and i updated MB bios too.
Different forum post say diiferent things.I really don't know what to do
PLEASE HELP ME

thanks
Hi and WELCOME
My take on things since it's not OCed and you've checked the memory...
The only I can't but will comment on is the PS...
Can't coment on it because I don't kn ow what it is ...
Will, coment that it sounds like that may be you problem...
Why, your saying about 4-6 hours gaming... that is the PS is under load which generates heat, heat and load brings in the question as to wheteher the PS can take the load of the components you have.

So either you have one of the early 7900GT that have crappy ram and it's the cause under load or ...
The PS can handle the load of the entire system when it's being put under load!

Well, I would think that PS can handle it, but still check the 3.3,5 and 12v rails... no more 5% varable is ok but 3% oir less is best.

ok if you watch that for a little bit did any of those voltages fluctuate at all, like say vcore going from 1.38 to 1.42 or dropping to 1.34 or something like that on any of those

Don;t think its the PSU then, maybe you got one of the bad 7900GTs, what color are the capacitors on it? If they are purple, you should be fine with that also, if I remember correctly...

I can't tell from that pic considering its not your actual card lol. But I believe all of those are supposed to be the purple ones. If they aren't, your vid card might be your problem. There was a lot of posts a while back about bad cards (7900) When did you purchase this card?

EDIT: Then again I could be completely off, but I'll google around

Here we go...

http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...-7900-gts.html

EDIT: ALso, do you have another card you could use in the computer, to possibly rule out the video card problem?

Worth looking into.

ALso I would assume that you've checked to make sure everything is seated properly, and that your temps are stable, and not too high. Cant remember whether you stated that or not. ANywho, Ill google around some more using your system specs to see if I cant find anything.
