Newegg put this card on sale earlier this week and now Amazon has it on sale for the same price, but of course those with Amazon Prime get free 2 day shipping.

$158.99 @ Amazon $158.99 @ Amazon
- Check it out as it is a great Audio card.

At $47.99 the Titanium HD kicks the living crap out of these. At MSRP the Xonar would be a much better option for music and movies though.

The Xonar Essence STX is more for an audiophile or as you pointed out movies/music, but to be quite honest they still do well for gaming. And if gaming is the only reason you are using a sound card I might agree with you.

Xonar ST/STX > Titanium HD

No doubt about it.

Because of recent events regarding the Best Buy price error.

$50 Titanium HD > $150+ Xonar ST/STX

I know the fact that the ST/STX has an amp still makes it better even at that price point for those that REALLY NEED an amp. I run my audio from sound card > external amp > sub > speakers. So the need for the onboard amp from the xonar isn't needed that much for me.
