you can try to call Staples 800-333-3330 and have them price match Micro Center's 4670K which is for $190. Just have the item numbers ready. It worked for me today

With Staples you can also apply a $30 off $80 coupon (can be purchased online for <$4) and knock another $30 off the price ($190 pricematch - $30 to a total of $160!!!). I did this with my 4770k, so unless rules have changed over the last month, I can confirm it works.

Ymmv on staples price match. Price Match Policy doesn't allow a staples coupon on top of a price match. If it's for something else it can go through as long as a manager doesn't get involved.

The phone operator specifically said that you cant use coupon with price match.

I tried to get the $30 coupon too last week. But it doesnt work in Oregon apparently

From what I seen, if they deny you just call back for another operator. And for the coupon text to work, you need to set up that VPN because without it, I can't get it also

I talked to the live chat at first and she said they could do the price match for me but I have to call the number to make the order, so i called and the phone operator let me price match without question. so that was definitely a pleasant experience. as long as micro center's price stays at 189.99

If you have a microcenter nearby I believe it's even better since you can have a discount with almost every CPU / mobo combo just have to talk to the manager about other motherboards to do the combo with. You have have a combo other than the ones advertised.

Where did you get this 30 off 80 coupon for Staples? Upon a google search, found https://www.cn-usa.com/?cmd=_sale&item=staples3080 but says online only. And, will this coupon work for in-store?

Well... I checked the 4670k listing on Staples, and it says they don't allow in-store pickup, low and behold, the local retail store tech confirmed. He did claim however that they can ship to the storefront from some other "close to manufacturer" enterprise named Nexicore, and that "since they are close to the manufacturer, it wouldn't matter to price match after shipping it from Nexicore". Seemed cool, but when I asked for an estimate he said his "tech guy" was busy, and to call back later. I'll edit this if I can get that estimate.

I don't know if anyone has a Frys near them... but I just spoke to an operator based in one of the retail locations near me, and said they would price match Micro Center

Will come back here to confirm if they actually honor that price match. I am near Silicon Valley.

EDIT: I was able to price match Fry's to Micro Center - BUT, it depends on who you talk to. Most customer support people there at Fry's will say they won't price match Micro Center simply because MC doesn't ship the 4670k ("in-store only")... but I managed to get it done through one specially accommodating young lady

Came out to 206$ after taxes.

I believe it does. You just have to print it out but I'm not exactly quite sure because I end up not using the coupon when I saw staples sold out on the pny ssd at $40 after coupon

well my order wasn't in store pick up. it was an online order and they are shipping it to me

That's the site I used. It's online or phone. I'm pretty sure they won't let you stack the coupon with a price match in store. I did a phone order that shipped to my home and it went through seamlessly.
