i picked up one also, i was thinking of trying it on my 7940x but wasn't sure it would hold up lol. Sounds like its doing decent. I have multiple boxes i could test it with. it may end up on my 5900x

The 7920x is run at stock and I just broke it down to go in another case. So I could test it there. The 7940x is delid and liquid metal with orig ihs back on it.

I'm in the process of setting up another loop but it may work better if I just put it on my 5900x since it's already on a aio. I should run a bunch of tests before I change coolers.

I installed it on my 7920x, it only appears to support cpu sockets with mouting kit. 1366/115x/775/2066/2011/am4/am3/fm2. The mounting kit is a big tricky, but the fan clips were the hardest for me to understand how they work lol. Had to view the picture on the amazon page to figure it out, or the one on the box as the instructions were tiny and not specific enough for my old brain.

This may be a good cooler to test on my FX 9590 with a tdp of 220w as well. Lets see how it does on the 7920x first. Ill post some results once i have the machine back together maybe tomorrow.

Finally got the build back together completely. Did some quick testing and I am only using the fan that came with the cooler for now to see how it does out of the box. I am getting low 70s on one core and rest are in 60s while running CPUz stress for about 5 min. I didn't get much time but it actually seems to be working fairly well. I will do some overclocking on it also to test. Keep in mind this 7920x is not a delid so it's Intel inside pigeon poop edition to boot.

For 20$ it's looking like a steal!!

Also got the gelid in, it's huge! I will try to test it also soon. I am not sure how well the gelid will do since there is some aluminum between heat pipes.on the CPU contact plate. Definitely want to see how it does.

That's awesome news!!! I will be installing it on a 7960X. I will delid and use liquid metal. I was impressed it handled a 12900K fine. I did upgrade the fan, I had a pair (actually two pairs) of some Cooler Master fans and have them in push and pull and this allows it to run 5.0 on p cores with e cores disabled or the original speeds I posted on a earlier post and got a 3 degree drop.

As far as the gelid, I never got mine and got refunded since the original seller sold out. Got lost in transit and now it is 40 bucks by another retailer.
Will be good to see your results, but based on the 12900k it sounds like it is already proved its worth. IF anyone looking for a cheap cooler can still get it with code for 20$ they should get it. I mean i recalled spending what 30$ on a hyper 212 and it barely kept up with mild OC's. OF course it's been that long since i've bought a heatsink, since then i was getting cheap AIO's.

Maybe we should make a thread on these cheaper coolers, where we can test against AIO's, other air coolers, and watercooling and see how they hold up overall. Really for the price i wasn't expecting much if at all.

Edit: The base on this PCcooler GI-R66 looks to be plated with nickel or something? I am not sure how liquid metal would react with it.

EDIT 2: Sorry double posted
here are some pics of the Gelid, it feels fairly light compared to the PCcooler GI-R66, i am referring to the actual heatsink with no fans.

here are some pics, there is only a slight small strip of aluminum down the center, the heat pipes are side by side. So it will be interesting how it fairs.
