hey dude, i have one of these and i wouldnt suggest ocing it without an uprated fan, cooler, on full load mine it at about 45/50c but while just fiddling about it drops to about 30 or something, thats why i havent overclocked mine yet because im saving up for watercooling, hope this helps, i mean stock it runs at 2ghz but mine runs at 2.4 with these temps, well i suppose ir depends how much you wan to clock it really, but you should be ok with small adjustments, hope this helps.

Its highly suggested to replace ur heatsink and fan once u start to OC ur proc. but depending on ur ambient temps and OC and voltage that should work for now if u are short in cash.

Greeny have u updated ur bios? had that same issue on my msi ne4 sli/plat.and try resitting ur HSF if u are on stock settings that temp is way too high being ur in the UK im sure ur ambient temp isnt that hot.

The heatsink supplied by AMD is not bad, you can OC as much as you like with it, just try to keep your temps below 50 C. Once you reach that point, stop OCing it. Then, you can buy a aftermarket HS/F if you want to push it farther.

No i havent updated the bios yet, you got a link to one at all? i have another amd hsf with twin fan on it im gonna put that on it, i have alot of stuff to do with my machine as of yet, mainly just updating stuff and getting new software for cpu temp n that.narr when its just sat doing nothing its at about 30 or something, when its upto 50 thats when ive been on the battlefield for a few hours or on world of warcraft etc.well basically when its been getting a good kicking, i could also do with moving my comp outta the room its in because i can sit in there for about half hour and be sweating its that hot, think i rendered that wall abit too much,(whoops)
Do you happen to know any general xp tweeks at all, ive tried the page file thing but it only increased the boot up by about 2 seconds so i might aswell not bother with that cos when actually browsing round its fine,
Cheers for the info feller

you can OC w/ the stock AMD hsf. I took my 3200+ to 2.4Ghz on stock cooling and voltage before I got a better fan.
