AMD cpu rma *SOLVED!!!!*

So my mom and i recently boguht a Brizzy for a new machine but the chip turns out to be defective. I tired to register the chip for an rma number and I was told the serial number was in their database. So i tried to call their live tech support and they were closed. So then I had to send an email to their tech support and I got an email back from some guy named Micheal who said the chip was now registered and i still cant get a damn rma number.

Then just minutes ago I tried again and now it says the chip is registered but it wont give me a number now and Idk where to get my rma number. Please I beg of all you Overclock.net people I need help seriously.

EDIT:
SOLVED!!!!!! I didnt see that there is a "Request RMA for product" button on the navigation area

Bought it from NewEgg but their warranty only extends for one month and I bought on February 10
that's tough. why did it die anyway?
Why didn't you test the chip earlier?

Anyways, you can still try and contact Newegg and see if they are willing to replace the chip.

It isn't dead, its defective. It locks up at POST with stock settings and the memory controller is defective. The current setup it was in was my old sig rig and everything worked perfectly with the Windsor in my sig rig.

It didnt seem like a problem but it just annoys the hell out of me. From a cold boot it locks up at post but when being shut off for a few seconds and being turned back in, it's boots

What makes you so sure that is it the CPUs problem?

Everything in the machine worked with my sig rig's Windsor but not this chip.

dunno about that. i guess you really have to rma. when i had my 1st rma from amd, even though it was out of the shop warranty from my shop, i just handed it to them over, got it shipped to taiwan and they replaced it brand new. the whole process took 2 weeks though.

in similar terms, you may be out of shop warranty but amd products have a year of replacement warranty, i believe. but in your case, you have to contact amd itself, or get your supplier do it for you.

edit: beat me to it. anyway, glad to hear that.

i thought you were already going to buy a 720be
