Hi guys..
I see here a few people who has a i9 7980XE..also planning to build one in my next project..
I have request!
Is it possible that someone with a i9 7980XE run a Chess-bench for me..as this cpu i'm still missing in my list..
Almost have them all,i mean the new ones, from AMD Ryzen,Threadripper and all EPYC cpu's & Intel Xeon's dual & quad socket systems..and more..
Just look around on my website.. http://www.ipmanchess.yolasite.com/amd---intel-chess-bench.php
Using and testing chess engines more then 20years..
When you see reviews always same thing i read..almost no games can use all these cores & threads..well chess can use any total cores/threads @100%
From the moment we had core 2 duo came out i had a engine who could use 2048cores..we are still far away from that..
And i think Chess is still a game
We use tools to stress our cpu..see if it can handle overclock for 24Hours..for what..a tool you don't use daily..while these chess engines use cpu 100% all the time
i had one time 6 x Q6600 cpu's test them with Prime..but find out that some off them where Prime stable but not chess stable? and inverse..
But what is the most important here..yeah that your daily program is stable 24/7/365 !!
Is just to show people there are other ways..reviewer could look to the chess world..have already a few sites who has include chess in there bencmarking tests..
so it's a start..
Of course any result from any system is welcome!
If you have a question please ask..
Oh yes..very important..there is no install needed..it just works out console..dubble click .exe file and run bench..
For a i9 7980XE 18c/36t example would be Type: bench 1024 36 26 enter and done in less then 2min. (number 36 are your cores/threads you want to use,so change it to your cpu)
After that you can just copy log and paste it here..
When finished you can just delete it or keep one off the strongest chess engine in the world..it's limited for using 32cpu's wink.gif but i can put it higher if you know someone..
Kind regards,
Ipman.
