( I thought I made this post before, but apparently I didn't
)

I am looking for a AMD/Nvidia board, that supports the following:

-SLI
-SATA 3
-AMD CPU

----

I want one that comes highly recommended, and before you say something.

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HACK, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HACK.

There hopefully that got through

Apparently there is no support for GTX 460's, and since that is true, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HACK.

Thank you.

All of this I want to be under or around $100.

Not gonna happen, sorry. The only boards that I know of that have SATA3 and USB 3.0 are the 8xx series from AMD, which support Crossfire only.

You can get a 980a chipset from Nvidia (AMD board). The MSI 980a is a great board. But its not under $100, and it doesn't have the features you're asking for (SATA 3 / USB 3.0).

EDIT:
MSI 980a motherboard - $159.99 shipped
OB MSI 980a motherboard - $119.99 + Shipping
Asus 980a motherboard - $139.99 + Shipping

Those are the ONLY Nvidia boards (of any decent quality) that are even available for AMD right now.

And i doubt that there is a board with at least 2 pcie 16x and good overclocker for only $100, you will need to go a little higher to the $130-$150 range to find a good board with those specs.

Is there a good board without SATA 3? Around $100?

Honestly, I'd grab that Open Box MSI 980a board off newegg (if you're in the US that is). That's going to be the best SLI board out (at least right now).

I just told you, grab the Open Box MSI 980a for $119.99 + Shipping. That's going to be the best SLI board period currently for AMD.

aarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

DAMN U CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On newegg I get charged tax, which would bring it up to $123 (around).

but on tigerdirect I can get a new one, which is not bricked (open box is most likely is bricked)

for $160 with a $20 rebate.

DAMN DECISIONS!!

(There is alot of problems with that board apparently......)

I have NEVER had an issue buying Open Box off newegg. They also allow a return within 15 days. So as long as it works out of the box, you should be fine to go
. If it doesn't, return it.

And I have read nothing but GOOD things about that board. If you are looking for an SLI AMD board, that is seriously about the ONLY option you have that's any decent.

The only problem that i found before buying it was the chipset running hot and a TIM change works very good for that.

I have a POS foxconn destroyer with full speed 15x dual gfx card sli and has sata 2. would have been an okay board if they would make bios for the 6 core and if it had crossfire. I think you can still find some on ebay.

That is with ANY current AMD motherboard. DDR3-1333 is default to the AMD memory controller. You usually need to overclock your reference clock to reach DDR3-1600 (usually, but not always). The DDR3-1600 setting is "technically" an overclock setting.

not sure if the memory type is an issue, but my board was a very satisfying purchase. M4N82 Deluxe. only thing is the ddr2 memory, but a very strong overclocker!!! got my x4 b55 unlocked chip to 4.25, in dual core mode almost 5ghz. 980a chipset, and has the sli(tripple)/AMD combo your looking for. take a gander and see if would work for you.
