AMD Overdrive or TurboV

I have an Asus M4A79XTD EVO, and a AMD 965BE. On the disk that came with the motherboard, there are two GUI utilities that are for OCing. Asus' TurboV, and AMD Overdrive.
I've seen some other stuff that other guys have used, but I was just wondering if there was a particular utility that was a favorite?
Maybe a third-party utility?
Is it better to run OCs through the BIOS?
I'm just looking at some mild stuff right now, I only have the stock CPU cooler and fan. I will say that I haven't had a problem with high temperatures.
Also, as far as stress testing, how long do I need to stress test to ensure system stability?

I'd overclock your CPU in the Bios. Reaching the best O.C potential means you need to know exact numbers, and they may be incorrect on the software. Could potentially ruin your CPU if your doing some serious overclocking.

Also bad software overclocks can corrupt your disk contents.

Best done through BIOS/UEFI.
Always best to overclock in the bios.

Stress test with prime95, most usually test for 12-24 hrs to assure stability.
I am never using overdrive again.
