Amd Phenom Black Edtion making gta crash?

I have an AMD Agena 9600 2.3ghz black edition. I think it is the causeo fm yproblems while playing gta IV. Most people say their problems with crashing have been resolved. Mine have not. I have the latest game patch, and all of my specs are in my sig. What do you guys think?

Did you install the latest drivers for your graphics card? Might resolve the crashing issue.

Your CPU might be the problem. Mine can sometimes lag under a heavy stress load, and I currently have a Phenom II X4 955

The problem is Rockstar needs to make a decent GTA conversion for PC gamers instead of their garbage porting.

IMO, they have all been great ports up until GTA IV.

I've only actually owned GTA III and Vice City on the PC.

Vice City was good, but III had a memory leak, and I heard IV was a garbage port.
