AMD Phenom II X3 720 Compatibility

Hey guys,

I wanted to check with you to make sure that this processor:

is compatible with this motherboard:

About to put a system together with these two components and just wanted to make sure they fit

yep. update it with the 1201 bios

Yeah they will work fine. But if you plan on oc'ing I would get the 790gx chipset which can be had for only slightly more 10 maybe 20 bucks

I'm not going to have to flash the bios to get the processor to work, right? I don't have another AMD laying around here to use to flash the mobo...

I think it will be ok.. you could dl the newest bios on your current pc get the flasher utility setup on a flash drive and then install the new bios on first boot.. Might work..
